Read on to learn more about this episode.

The episode began at an exercise boot camp, where one of the women fell on top of a decomposing corpse.

Meanwhile, at breakfast, Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan  (Emily Deschanel) decided to create a more “anatomically correct” bone song for Christine (Sunnie Pelant). FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) made pancakes as he was happy that his team won the previous night’s game.

At the crime scene, they discovered that whoever had killed the victim had done an amateur job of cleaning up. Back at the Jeffersonian, they used the fact that he was diabetic and that he had several kidney and pancreas transplants to identify him via a database of organ donors.

After identifying him as Chili Reuben (Jimmy Smagula), a food television show food host who made reviews of fast food establishments and diners. His show was one of FBI Special Agent James Aubrey’s (John Boyd) favorite shows so they decided to pay a visit to the show’s producer, Sid Lauren (Kurt Fuller). He told him that he drove off for somewhere that afternoon and surrendered the episode’s raw footage to them.

Meanwhile, Dr. Jack Hodgins (TJ Thyne) told his wife, Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin), that a particular company wanted to pay him $20 million dollars for a batch of the honeycomb rubber material that he had made.

After looking through the footage, Aubrey and Angela discovered that his signature chili ruby earring was nowhere to be found. Chili had made a bad review of Frankie Cooper’s (Mike Starr) cooking, which was a complication as Frankie was the chef of their favorite diner-The Royal Diner. They then discovered that Chili had tried to pay Frankie off with $300 so that he could give him a good review.

Back at the Jeffersonian, Hodgins and Dr. Camille “Cam” Saroyan (Tamara Taylor) discovered that Chili was a drug addict as well as an alcoholic. Afterwards, Dr. Clark Edison (Eugene Byrd), pulled Cam away for a while so that he could reassure her that Arastoo Vaziri was doing fine in Iran.  He knew that Cam was extremely worried about his being in Iran.

They then questioned Kenneth Morton (Adam Shapiro).  He had pawned off Chili’s earring and had been at a bus station as he was going to see his sick mother. It then turned out that Chili had told him to pawn it, while they were out drinking so that he could buy some drugs for him. The bartender then confirmed that he had gotten into a fight with Chili but didn’t kill him.

Back at the Jeffersonian, Hodgins told Angela that they had been paid $ 2 million in advance out of $ 40 million. They then told Cam, who, much to their relief, was alright with it.

While Clark tried to reassure Cam that everything was alright with Arastoo, and while he helped Bones with her song, Hodgins, and Aubrey brought the “Spice mobiles”, Chili’s car, to the laboratory, as it was full of particulates. Meanwhile, Booth gave Bones a new necklace. Bones noticed that something was off as Booth had misplaced his Gambling Anonymous chip in the laundry.

They then had no choice but to question their favorite waitress, Joanne DeMarco (Nicole Sullivan), after smelling her perfume inside. She then admitted that she had slept with Chili a few nights ago.

Back at the Jeffersonian, Bones told Cam that the reason why Arastoo hadn’t wanted her to come with him to Iran was because he loved her and didn’t want to put her in any kind of danger.

Clark then discovered a chip on Chili’s skull. It would have been caused if he had hit a faucet while someone drowned him in a bathtub. After combing through the motel rooms of the production crew and staff of the show, they discovered that Kenneth had drowned Chili as his mother was on the organ wait list, while Chili could get transplants, and still waste his life. He had then drowned him as Chili had come into his room screaming and swinging at him, as he had been drunk.

Later that night, Booth and Bones discovered that Frank and Joanne were not mad at them anymore, as business was booming. Christine and Bones then rapped the bone song for Booth and invited him to join in.
