Bones Recap: The Lost in the Found
“Bones” Season 10 Episode 17 “The Lost in the Found” aired on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. on FOX. In this episode, the entire team delved into the world of prep school teenaged girls after they were called in to investigate the murder of a sixteen-year-old prep student, whose issues with her peers reminded Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan (Emily Deschanel) of her own issues when she was a child. Meanwhile, Daisy Wick (Carla Gallo) contemplated whether she should start dating again, and Bones was forced to confront the truth about her pregnancy. Read on to learn more about this episode.
The episode began with a search and rescue party finding the remains of the missing girl that they were looking for. One of them, a young adult named Tyler O’ Brian (Adam William Zastrow), ran away and threw up when he saw the remains.
Later, Dr. Camille “Cam” Saroyan (Tamala Taylor) told FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) and FBI Special Agent James Aubrey (John Boyd) that the remains might be their missing girl, Molly Delson. She had found braces, which Molly wore, in her mouth. Dr. Jack Hodgins (TJ Thyne) then informed them that the remains had been there for at least four days. Booth then sent a picture of some of the teeth of the remains to his wife, Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan (Emily Deschanel). She was watching Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin) and Daisy Wick (Carla Gallo) at their yoga class, and confirmed that it belonged to a teenager.
Later, Angela wondered out loud if Daisy was ready to date again as their instructor was hitting on her. She told Bones that she didn’t look like she was only three months pregnant. However, these two issues bothered both Daisy and Bones, respectively, all throughout the case.
Booth and Aubrey then brought in Tyler for questioning. It was after discovering that he was a registered sex offender. They couldn’t tie him to the scene, they held him on possession charges.
Angela confirmed that their victim was definitely Molly. Booth and Bones then paid a visit to Molly’s parents. It was after seeing signs of abuse in the bones in her legs. However, Bones later apologized after discovering that Molly had been obese as a child, which explained it. They then learned that Molly was an overachiever who didn’t want to disappoint her parents.
Back at the Jeffersonian, Cam and Hodgins discovered that Molly had been duct taped. She had been transported in someone’s car, which meant that she had been abducted. Later, Daisy found at least a dozen stab wounds and Hodgins found traces of glitter, and construction paper fragments which matched her school’s colors.
Meanwhile, at Pemberly Academy, the headmistress, Amelia Minchin (Alysia Reiner), Aubrey and Booth questioned Cayla Seligman (McKaley Miller) and Arianna Donas (Brielle Barbusca) after discovering that they, who were not Molly’s friends, were looking for Molly’s diary.
After reading the diary, they discovered that she had been bullied. Bones could relate to as the same thing had happened to her at school. They then questioned Kathryn Walling (China Anne McClain) after discovering that the beads at the scene belonged to her. It was ecause she had motive as Molly was going to tell the headmistress about the drinking parties they had every Thursday, which was the day that she had disappeared.
They then discovered that she had received degrading text messages. Tyler had leaked a nude photo of her on the internet. However, he told them that she had posed for him to get some pills.
After questioning the three girls as Cayla’s scissors was the murder weapon, and as Arianna’s car had been used to transport her body, Booth arrested them. However, the girls claimed that Molly had given them vodka, which made them pass out.
However, they had a feeling that they didn’t kill Molly. Back at the lab, Bones discovered from Angela that she didn’t want to believe that she was six months pregnant. It was because of the fact that she was scared as she and Booth had high-risk jobs and might one day be injured in the line of duty. Afterwards, she realized that she was looking at everything the wrong way. After learning that she had been injected with a nerve blocker, realized that she had stabbed herself to death and had framed her bullies for her own murder. The girls were guilty of pushing her over the edge, as she had already been suicidal.
After telling Booth this, she told him that she was scared about having another baby as that meant that they had more to lose. However, Booth assured her that they had actually gained something more and reassured her that everything was going to be okay.
Meanwhile, Daisy decided that she wouldn’t go out yet with the instructor. She wasn’t ready to go out and start dating again.
