Previously on “Bones” (“The Recluse in the Recliner” Season 9 Finale Episode 24), a lot of things happened on this episode. After watching, you know that “Bones” still has it and deserves to be renewed for Season 10. Here are the highlights of the”Bones” Season 9 Finale: Booth (David Boreanaz) shot three FBI agents, and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) was in custody for interrogation.

An informant called Booth. What made him sound more interesting was because he mentioned about the McNamaras and the FBI. They had the call traced, but it was too late. The house was burned, and the informant was dead. Later, the guy was identified as Wesley Foster. There was something mysterious about his death. The firemen said that the man set himself on fire, while Cam (Tamara Taylor) claimed that Foster was already dead when the house was burned.

Five years ago, Wesley Foster was a journalist. He owned a blog and wrote about the McNamaras, the FBI, corruption in the government, etc. Booth let the Deputy Director know that Foster was just a harmless crank. At least that was what he wanted him to believe so that they can further investigate.

Moreover, the team learned that Foster worked as a night janitor in a Mcnamara-owned company, but they were denied access to investigate. Caroline (Patricia Belcher) could not get a signature from the three judges. What was odd was Foster had a nipple ring. Cam, Fisher (Joel David Moore) and Hodgins (TJ Thyne) later realised that this was a memory chip which contains classified information. The guy was killed because he knew something. Upon checking its contents, Booth was stunned to find out that what he thought was a routine stakeout turned out to be a ploy to kill a senator.

Evidence suggested that Foster was killed by the operatives of Delta Force. This was a big case, and the team could not afford to have a big fish watching at their backs. What did they do? They declared that it was an accident.

Meanwhile, Booth was in the hot seat during the Congressional hearing. Congressman Hadley asked Booth about the American he shot in Pakistan. He answered that he could not give any details because it was classified. Booth’s promotion was starting to look like he was being set up because he was looking closely at the McNamara’s case. Things did not turn out well as the Deputy Director withdrew his support and had him on administrative leave.

Booth gave the congressman a taste of his own medicine. In Hadley’s car, Booth showed him his photo kissing another man. Hadley tried to show that he does not care, but obviously he did. Otherwise, men ordered to kill him would not be showing up at Booth’s house.

Booth instructed Brennan to take Christine (Sunnie Pelant) at Max’s as he set up some explosives in their house. Brennan could not argue with Booth about this. The men arrived, and the explosions in the house were everywhere. The most touching part was when Booth was shot in the chest. Brennan came in and shot the man in the head. She grabbed a gun and shot another one, while Booth broke the neck of the other. Brennan begged Booth not to die.

In the hospital, the team was relieved to find out that Booth made it alive. He was handcuffed to the rail because he had killed three FBI agents who came to arrest him. Brennan, on the other hand, was in custody for interrogation.
