Brad Pitt is the New Chanel No. 5 Endorser
Brad Pitt has been named as the new product endorser of Chanel No. 5. He has joined the ranks of the likes of Marilyn Monroe, who suggested that it was all she wore in bed. The company tapped the Hollywood star to be the face of its new international ad campaign.
Brad Pitt is the first male endorser of Chanel No. 5 that will be featured in its commercial and print advertisements. Previous endorsers of the brand include Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, and Lauren Hutton.
According to reports, Brad Pitt’s paycheck is around seven figures. The first ad is scheduled to be shot in London sometime next week. The actor’s endorsement history is lean. He usually takes on contracts for ads in foreign markets, such as SoftBank. His partner Angelina Jolie has more endorsement deals than him. She has been the face of fashion house St. John and cosmetics company Shiseido.
Aside from his endorsement, Brad Pitt has been busy with his acting job. His World War Z will be released this coming Christmas and there are talks that he will collaborate on screen with Angelina Jolie for Ridley Scott’s The Counselor. The Counselor will be about a well-positioned lawyer who got involved in the drug trade. Michael Fassbender was said to lead the movie with Angelina Jolie to be hovering around the project. Now there are talks that Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem are on board.
The last time that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie worked on a movie has in 2005 for Mr. and Mrs. Smith. During that time, he was still married to actress Jennifer Aniston while Jolie had just split with actor Billy Bob Thornton. She also adopted her first son Maddox. After the movie wrapped up, Brad and Jennifer announced their separation and the rest is history.
