‘Bridget Jones’ Baby’ Movie: Ed Sheeran Joins Renée Zellweger, Patrick Dempsey And Colin Firth
The English singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran is all set to step into the big screen by taking the decision for doing a cameo in “Bridget Jones’ Baby,” which is a follow-up to 2004’s movie “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.”
Based on the updates of “iSchool Guide,” it’s cleared that Hugh Grant, who played Daniel Cleaver in the original movie series, has rejected the proposal of reprising his role in the upcoming movie to be directed by Sharon Maguire.
The Telegraph confirmed that unlike the first two installments of the series, the upcoming movie that also stars Patrick Dempsey and Colin Firth (to reprise their roles) would be based on author Helen Fielding’s columns.
The 24-year old Sheeran spent the fantastic moments at the shooting spot with the A-list cast in London and took to Instagram to post his own selfie. He captioned the photo: “Spent the day being an actor in the new Bridget Jones movie. Loved it, you’re gonna love it too.”
According to Just Jared, the 2001’s “Bridget Jones’s Diary” actress, Renée Zellweger (presently Sheeran’s co-star in “Bridget Jones’ Baby) was captured holding on her helmet while filming a scene for the third installment of “Bridget Jones” movie franchise on Sunday, November 22 in London. The website even reported that a tad traffic jam was created on the road while the “Empire Records” and “Jerry Maguire” actress was busy in giving the shots on the Albert Bridge.
This is not the first film for Sheeran as he played as himself in the television shows such as 2014’s “Shortland Street,” including 2015’s “Undateable,” “Home and Away,” “The Bastard Executioner” and “Jumper For Goalposts.”
We can’t wait to see the famous musician Ed Sheeran on the big screen. “Bridget Jones’s Baby” is scheduled hit the theaters on Sept. 16, 2016.
