Broadway’s Keli O’ Hara Joins the Cast of ‘Peter Pan LIVE!’

Another live musical is flying to television screens this coming December to sprinkle some holiday cheer with pixie dust. NBC’s “Peter Pan LIVE!” is moving full speed ahead, as they have just added a new cast member to their roster. Read on to learn more about this story.

According to Deadline, Tony nominee and Broadway royalty Keli O’ Hara has just been added to the growing, and star-studded cast of NBC’s newest musical venture, “Peter Pan LIVE!”  O’ Hara is all set to portray as the tender loving mother of John and Michael Darling who was only known as Mrs. Darling. She will not know that her young kids disappear from time to time in Neverland, which was made possible  by the mischievous boy who will never grow up- Peter Pan. O’ Hara will be portraying this role alongside Broadway star Christian Borle, who will be portraying Mr. Darling, and Captain Hook’s sidekick, Mr. Smee


Keli O’ Hara is a versatile actress, known for her work on Broadway, film and television. She was nominated for her roles in Broadway plays such as “The Light in the Piazza” (2005),  “The Pajama Game” (2006), “South Pacific” (2008), “Nice Work if You Can Get It” (2012) and “The Bridges of Madison County” (2014). Her other stage work include “Jekyll & Hyde” and “Follies”. Her film and television credits include “The Dying Gaul” (2005), “All My Children” (2007), “Sex and the City 2” (2010) and “Blue Bloods” (2011).

Aside from Christian Borle, she will be working alongside actress Allison Williams as Peter Pan and Christopher Walken, who will be portraying Pan’s nemesis, Captain James Hook.

This is not the first time that NBC has attempted to produce a musical live telecast, as it aired “The Sound of Music LIVE!” last Dec. 3, 2013. “The Sound of Music LIVE!” starred Carrie Underwood as Maria, Stephen Moyer as Captain von Trapp, Christian Borle as Max Detweiler, Audra McDonald as the Mother Abbess, and Laura Benanti as Elsa Schrader. The live telecast will be executive produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.

According to Variety, it will be directed by Rob Ashford (“Thoroughly Modern Millie”) and will be musical directed by David Chase (Rogers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella”).
