Bryce Dejean-Jones Signs A Three-Year Partially Guaranteed Deal With New Orleans Pelicans

Bryce Dejean-Jones and New Orleans Pelicans have signed a partially guaranteed three-year contract. Based on the tweets of the Basketball Insiders, New Orleans’ Eric Pincus, Pelicans is reported to have utilized their mid-level exception money to rope in Dejean-Jones.

According to Inquisitr, New Orleans Pelicans was interested with the summer league performance of Dejean-Jones. The 6feet and 6 inches shooting guard (of 209 pound), Dejean-Jones was a member of the Pelicans summer league last month in Las Vegas and played for the team. He averaged 12.8 points per game and 61.9 percent from the field and 50 percent from deep in six games.

Dejean-Jones has all the capabilities to score from various ways and he is said to have potential while having the ball in the hand. He is one of the best players to create off the dribble, and make shots from mid-range at any condition.

The signing between Dejean-Jones and New Orleans Pelicans was declared on Thursday. As reported by ESPN, the 23-year old American basketball player played in college at Iowa State. During his senior season, he had played in 33 games and averaged 10.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals, shooting a career-best 47.6 percent from the field.

Dejean-Jones is the only player, published, on the Pelicans summer league roster who had played at three different colleges in five years.

New Orleans Pelicans was reported to have emerged successful in reaching the semifinals before losing to Phoenix Suns, the basketball team based in Phoenix, Arizona. Seth Curry was the man behind their success who advanced the whole league in scoring but he went on to sign a two-year guaranteed deal with the Sacramento Kings.
