‘Call Me Caitlyn’ – Bruce Jenner
World, it’s time to meet Caitlyn Jenner formerly known as Bruce Jenner who has debuted HERSELF in Vanity Fair.
Jenner just broke the Internet when her Vanity Fair cover was revealed and the whole world went into a frenzy. Almost each social media user has expressed their thoughts and even shared Jenner’s magazine cover. A lot of celebrities have congratulated the 65-year old Olympian for finally revealing his true identity to the whole world.
The photo of Jenner on the cover of Vanity Fair is in a corset with a headline “Call Me Caitlyn.” In April of 2015, Jenner announced her transition to being a woman in television. The article about Jenner’s transition was kept secret the whole process and was written by Buzz Bissinger, the author of “Friday Night Lights.” Bissinger said that he spent 3 months with Jenner and it was a great experience.
Vanity Fair tweeted Jenner’s magazine cover June 2, 2015 with the caption, “’I’m not doing this to be interesting. I’m doing this to live.’ #CallMeCaitlyn”
According to the article, Jenner’s transition started way back in the 1980s after he won the gold medal at the Montreal Olympics in 1976 and while Jenner travelled for making speeches and commercials, she was actually wearing a pantyhose and a bra underneath her suit. However, Jenner stopped and only continued when her marriage with Kris Jenner ended.
The interview for the cover feature was held at her Malibu home and she said, “If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.’”
Jenner is also reportedly doing a new TV series on E! that will start at the end of July where viewers can follow her life as a woman.
