Cameo Roles for the Obamas in ‘Pitch Perfect 2’

A lot of celebrities and journalists were seen doing a cameo in “Pitch Perfect 2.” We also saw Michelle Obama and President Barack Obama in the movie. This made us think if indeed the Obamas starred in the film. Read on for more details.

The movie, which was released in cinemas last May 14, 2015, showed Fat Amy exposing her “back and front junk” accidentally to the President and to Michelle Obama. This was among the most memorable part of the film where Mr. and Mrs. Obama were among the audience.


However, a report from Bustle said that the scene where the President and his wife in “Pitch Perfect 2” was already an archived footage. At the scene of the movie, the Barden Bellas were performing for the birthday of POTUS at the Kennedy Center.

The report went on saying the footage might have been taken during the time the Obamas attended the Kennedy Center Honors every year. The outlet continued that it could have been a hundred times better if indeed the Obamas took a cameo role in the movie.

On the other hand, INQUISITR reported that “Pitch Perfect 2” has already grossed around US$70.3 million over the weekend after its opening. This was lower compared to the US$115 million earnings of the first installment.

The report went on saying that fans including young women were eager to catch their favorite characters in the movie. This included Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, and Anna Kendrick.

According to the media outlet, most of “Pitch Perfect 2′”s audience included women under 25 years old. Meanwhile, men audience was accounted higher for the US$44 million ticket sales during the opening of “Mad Max.”

The movie is all about how an acapella group called Barden Bellas was able to win a next to impossible international competition. “Pitch Perfect 2” was written by Kay Cannon and directed by Elizabeth Banks. The latter also played the commentator character in the movie.
