The upcoming third installment for “Captain America” might showcase more Marvel superheroes than what fans had hoped for. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
“Captain America 3” might showcase more Marvel superheroes than what fans might expect according to Cinemablend. The huge blockbuster success, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, featured likely heroes such as the Black Widow, Nick Fury and the Falcon, teaming up with Cap to stop a nefarious plan by the extremist organization, Hydra. Earlier, rumors spread that there were plans for Jeremy Renner’s “Avenger” character, the trick shooter archer Hawkeye, to appear in a role for the third installment of the “Captain America” franchise.
Renner tells Collider about the “rumblings” he’s heard about an essential role in the upcoming “Captain America 3.” It may be too early to speculate what the Russos may have in store, as “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” hasn’t been released yet.
“That’s such a hard question because we’ve kind of already done that – Do they have to be under contract with Marvel? Maybe they are at another studio,” said Joe Russo in his phone interview with Cinemablend, when asked which superhero would take on the role as Cap’s next support.
Might this mean that we may see other Marvel heroes crossing over to the said project? Will the likes of Spiderman, the Fantastic Four, Wolverine or other X-men join Roger’s cause?
“The Secret Wars,” a twelve-issue comic book crossover, was one of the major storylines in the Marvel Universe wherein a group of both heroes and supervillains are teleported in a planet called “Battleworld,” which pitted both sides against each other. Heroes such as the Avengers: Captain America, Captain Marvel , Hawkeye, War Machine, She-Hulk, Thor, the Wasp; Fantastic Four Members: Human Torch, Mister Fantastic and Thing; X-men mutants: Colossus, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Professor X, Rogue, Storm, Wolverine and Lockheed the Dragon; and solo heroes: Spider-Man, Spider-Woman and the Hulk battle out the villains Absorbing Man, Doctor Doom, Doctor Octopus, the Enchantress, Kang the Conqueror, Klaw, the Lizard, Molecule Man, Titania, Ultron, Volcana, Magneto, the cosmic entity Galactus and the Wrecking Crew.
