‘Captain America: Civil War’: 4 Biggest Rumors About the Movie so Far
With a movie like “Captain America: Civil War,” there are bound to be rumors surrounding it. While we have heard some rumors now and then about the movie, here are 4 significant rumors we think should definitely be highlighted:
- 1. Everyone has started to believe that since the Avengers and Guardians both are a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Captain America: Civil War” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” will definitely have some connection. Since Thanos already happens to be both the team’s concern, when rumors aroused that there could be a crossover between the two teams, fans went into speculation mode and started to chalk out every single possibility. Unfortunately, as of now Marvel Studios haven’t confirmed anything. Besides going by James Gunn’s statement about “Guardians of the Galaxy,” there might not even be a collaboration whatsoever.
- 2. What Culture added that Baron Zemo might not be a brand new villain in this movie and there’s a possibility that he has connection to events that have occurred until now. Some sources even believe that this version of Baron Zemo could actually be revealed as none other than Red Skull himself. Last, we know Red Skull vanished in air when he was exposed to Tesseract, so if somehow he did manage to teleport himself to the current time and take up another identity completely, there are chances he will want to see Captain America gone for good.
- 3. Third one is catching popularity amongst rumors and this concerns the death of Iron Man’s best friend James Rhodes. In a picture we saw Tony holding Rhodes in his lap and looking furious. From the injury on the armor, it seems that Bucky must have used his bionic arm and ripped the arc reactor out thus rendering the suit useless and then perhaps must have beaten the life out of Rhodes since back in the days he himself used to be quite a valuable soldier. With the new toys that Bucky inherited from HYDRA, he could be the reason for some potential damage to Iron Man’s team.
- 4. Finally, with all of the weapons and accessories taken following Captain America’s decision to not follow the law, there are rumors that S.H.I.E.L.D would be the one taking away all the authority from the Anti-side of the “Avengers.” The scene where you see Captain America’s shield being taken is a proof of it. It only will depend on Captain’s leadership as to how will he continue to keep the team afloat provided, Tony has joined forces with the Government and has every advantage in the battle.
Cinema Blend added that once “Captain America: Civil War” ends, nothing will ever be same in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since the battle is going to pit heroes against heroes, it would change many friendships and there is a possibility that things might take a darker turn. One such friendship would definitely be Captain and Iron Man who might not see eye to eye for some time.
“Captain America: Civil War” will release next year on May 6th.
