‘Captain America: Civil War’: What to Expect from the First Footage Unveiled at D23

“Captain America: Civil War” is almost wrapping up production, just about a week’s work and the movie will make it to the editing suite for its grand release next year in May. It is said to be featuring one of the biggest showdown between former “Avengers” allies Captain America and Iron Man, so when the first footage of the movie was shown at the D23 Expo, it only had a unanimously thundering response. Read on for more details.

According to Cinema Blend, although no official trailer is expected to release anytime soon but the first footage shown at the D23 expo at Anaheim, California was more than enough for people to get excited about the movie. According to the footage that starts with Chris Evans’ Captain America looking over a particular car with the help of Falcon and Black Widow. Falcon is shown to do a quick scan of the car confirming it as their target. Things in the footage really go awry when Crossbones and his goons are shown entering. A fight ensues with the villain throwing some punches at Captain who eventually is able to overpower him.

However. one major scene that personally will make most of the fans feel really good is that Bucky seems to have regained all his memories. It further confirms why his character was shown with Captain America and Black Panther recently on the sets.

The scene basically elaborated the “Ant-Man” post-credits scene, where the former Winter Soldier was seen trapped with his arm in the machine. Captain makes sure if Bucky remembers him. His suspicion is cleared when Bucky confirms Captain America’s mother’s name and how he used to use newspaper for shoes.

Judging from what Crossbones mentioned to Captain America while getting caught, there are chances that with the enhanced gear Crossbones has at his disposal, he must be the one who trapped Bucky’s arm in the machine after an obvious beatdown.

Expectations only increase with this footage being released and certainly declares “Captain America: Civil War” as a frontrunner next year as it will face some stiff competition from “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
