‘Captain America: Civil War’ Movie Update: Red Hulk to Appear in the Threequel Alongside Iron Man and Spider-Man?
“Captain America: Civil War” hits theatres in less than a year from now and fans are already excited to see the legendary battle take place between Avengers members, Captain America and Iron Man. While little is still known about the upcoming Marvel movie, there are ongoing speculations that Hulk and the Red Hulk will be appearing in the 2016 film. Will they star alongside Spider-Man? Read on to learn more about this scoop.
Filming for “Captain America: Civil War” has already begun. But, the cast and crew members are keeping their lips tightly sealed on details of what fans can expect in the next Marvel movie. While fans know that the third “Captain America” movie will show the battle between Captain America and Iron Man, rumor has it that two Hulks will be appearing in the film.
Cinema Blend cited several reports from news outlets claiming that “Captain America 3” will introduce a new character. It was said that the new addition will be General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who will later on become the “Red Hulk.” The outlet noted that Ross’ character was announced to return as a part of “Civil War.” It wasn’t until today that his role was speculated to become the Red Hulk in the upcoming movie.
The outlet also shared several details about Ross and how he became the Red Hulk. According to the outlet, Ross has been using every means possible to defeat Hulk in the comic books. Ross then underwent a procedure to transform himself into the Hulk’s counterpart; only that he emits heat when he gets angry. It would seem highly unlikely, though for a battle between Hulk and the Red Hulk to take place in the film, as Banner was not announced as part of the casting lineup.
Meanwhile, casting for the new actor to play the role of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man in “Captain America: Civil War” is still going. The Telegraph reported that has already been narrowed down to six actors.
Asa Butterfield, Charlie Plummer, Charlie Rowe, Tom Holland, Matthew Lintz and Judah Lewis have reportedly flown to the set of “Civil War” in Atlanta, where the six actors took part in a screen test.
“Captain America: Civil War” premieres on May 6, 2016.
