‘Captain America: Civil War’ Rumors: Ant-Man Becomes Giant-Man? Director Peyton Reed Teases Exciting Details

Marvel’s “Ant-Man” is currently out in the theaters and much like any Marvel movie before it, moviegoers, like kids in an Easter egg hunt, have been going through every media in order to capture a glimpse of potential secrets. From Ant-Man’s potential villain in the sequel to Ant-Man’s possible involvement with the Falcon and Bucky Barns in “Captain America 3,” it wouldn’t take one too much time to stumble on a forum filled with opinions. Read on for more details.

Moving beyond the shroud of speculation and going directly to the source, Scott Lang’s tiny superhero will return in Joe and Anthony Russo’s “Captain America: Civil War.” This comeback, the director hinted, will position Lang to have a bigger, literally much bigger, role than his debut.

“…I think with Hank Pym and Scott Lang, and with that technology, I think it’s safe to say at some point somewhere you’re going to see some real growth.” said director Peyton Reed in an interview with Screen Junkies.

From the statement above, he gave a slight pause, took a look at the camera, then continued “…for that character. I hedge my bet there, because it could be sort of growth as a human being, emotional growth, or literal giant growth. There’s a good chance of that.” This cryptic statement was cited by Comic Book Movie.

For those people out there who do not have any idea what this seemingly cryptic statement refers to, he is referring to Marvel’s Giant-Man. Away from the current Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and diving in the comic realm. Hank Pym has an alter ego, which goes by the name of Giant-Man. As the name suggests, his physical characteristic is pretty much the opposite of a miniscule hero.

“The classic Giant-Man, in the comics, is somewhere in the 12-feet range (3.6m) while one in the old Ultimate Marvel universe could grow as big as 60-feet tall (18.2m)” reported by Daily Super Hero.

“Captain America: Civil War” will be released on May 6, 2016.

Are you excited for the next appearance of the Ant-Man? Do you think that the statement of director Reed was really a hint for Giant-Man’s appearance? Tell us your opinion, we would love to hear from you.
