Cara Delevingne Opens Up About Sexualization Of Fashion Industry; Has 6 Movies Coming This Year!
Cara Delevingne, 23, has officially quit catwalks and ramps, and joined film industry. She has bid her final goodbye to the catwalks and opened up about the industry in a brutally honest interview with TheTimes. According to Cara Delevingne, she has found happiness and peace in film industry and, she is not stepping back to ramps.
Cara Delevingne, in her interview, said that the stress from the shoots and travels was not bringing her joy. She developed painful skin disease psoriasis after feeling ‘hollow after a while’ in fashion industry. In an official statement, Delvingne cleared that she is not picking up fashion work anymore. She adds, “People would put on gloves and not want to touch me because they thought it was, like, leprosy or something.”
Cara Delevingne suffered from stress and the hate for her body started increasing after every ‘fight and flight’. “Just constantly on edge. It is a mental thing”, says the 23-years-old “Paper Towns” beauty.
The honest interview by Delevingne slams fashion industry for its treatment towards young girls and the pertaining sexualization in the industry. She bluntly accepts that her career on ramps did not help her grow as a human being and she just kept feeling so old, while she was still very young.
Enchantress of “suicide Squad” even adds that she knows how young girls are mistreated. They are made to feel that they cannot even say no even if they are uncomfortable. Delevingne expressed, “It’s horrible and it’s disgusting. You start when you are really young and you do, you get subjected to… not great stuff.”
