‘Castle’ Spoilers: Castle’s Disappearance Explained and Their Next Case!
The long-time ABC crime drama, “Castle,” isn’t due to return until February, leaving fans and viewers of the series some time to think about the first half of the season with new show runners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter. WARNING: This article will contain spoilers for the second half of the eight season, and for the mythology of “Castle.”
Fans of the show shouldn’t abandon ship just yet, as the two have recently teased what fans should be expecting next with regards to the show’s mythology. Aside from this, some new information has been discovered regarding the episode that will welcome the second half of the season.
The mid-season finale of the eighth season finally allowed Captain Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) and Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) to get back together, even though they plan to keep that fact a secret, so that Beckett could continue digging into the LokSat mystery.
However, it seems that Beckett is connected to this mystery in more ways than one, as show runners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter have recently told TV Line that Castle’s mysterious disappearance last season might also have something to do with the main mystery at hand.
Last season, it was discovered that part of the reason why Castle had disappeared on his and Beckett’s wedding day was due to the fact that he had been in Thailand, helping an old prep school classmate turn himself over to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). However, the rest of Castle’s time missing is still shrouded in mystery as this explanation didn’t account for the remaining time he was missing, and the fact that Castle had his memories wiped voluntarily as he had stumble upon something dangerously important.
In their recent interview with TV Line, Hawley and Winter confirmed that Castle’s disappearance does have something to do with Beckett’s LokSat mystery, and stated that they haven’t exactly pinpointed as to what exactly the connection is yet.
While waiting for that mystery to be solved, fans should expect that the very first episode of 2016 to be a fun one, judging by the promotional video that was just recently shared on Spoiler TV.
The upcoming episode entitled “Tone Death,” will feature more crime solving fun, as it previews a scene with Castle trying his best to beat box and harmonize with Detective Javier “Javi” Esposito (Jon Huertas), and one of the characters they will be meeting as they go on solving their current case.
