Castle Update: Season 7 Spoilers

ABC’s procedural, “Castle,” premieres on Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at 10:00 p.m. Here is a sneak peek on what is store for the shows seventh season. Read on to learn more about this story.

When we last left “Castle,” Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) was on his way to his Detective Kate Beckett’s (Stana Katic) wedding, when he and his car got into an accident. The final moments of Season 6  had Beckett staring at Castle’s burning car. However, it is an already known fact that Castle was not inside the car anymore — he had disappeared. According to TV Line, “Castle” showrunner David Amman reassured that the truth behind Castle’s disappearance will only make the couple go on stronger than ever. In addition, it will open a new story arc that will delve into Castle’s own back story.

This is now made possible since all the mythology and story arc regarding Beckett’s mother’s murder, which concerned Senator Bracken, are now over, as Bracken is now behind bars. With Beckett’s back story resolved, it will now be possible to focus more on Castle himself, without having to compete with any of Beckett’s story lines or back story. If one may notice, most of the seasons have dealt more with Beckett’s story line, and the only time that the show dealt with Castle’s back story was whenever his father, spy Jackson Hunt, was around.

Even if the new season will delve more into the titular character’s story arc, there are still two major story lines in the show’s mythology that haven’t been dealt with so much, and haven’t found closure yet.

With the announcement that Castle’s back story will now be explored, his father, CIA Agent Jackson Hunt will come into play. Jackson Hunt is portrayed by actor James Brolin.

Another major piece of the show’s mythology that will come into play is the 3XK killer, Jerry Tyson (Michael Mosley), and his followers.

Moreover, it has been announced that actor Matt Letscher (“Scandal,” “The Carrie Diaries”) will be joining the cast as Henry Jenkins, a security consultant.Letscher’s character will be important as he will be giving some information to Beckett regarding “the most important case of her life.”

And that’s the latest update on “Castle” Season 7. For more news and updates, including spoilers and recaps, on “Castle” and other television shows, keep following Movie News Guide (MNG).
