Australian actor director Cate Balanchett and screenwriter husband Andrew Upton seem to be very happy since their daughters’ arrival. The couple adopted daughter Edith Vivian Patricia early this year stating that her addition to the family of three brothers couldn’t get any better. According to Daily Mail, the 46 year old “Elizabeth” star recently mentioned in an interview that Edith is loved by her three brothers a lot and they are very protective for their younger sister. She feels absolutely blessed for having such a lovely family. “The Avaitor” star further added that she is a proud mother of young independent kids, they love and care for each other.
The couple first met on a television show way back in 1996 and got married next year. Balanchett and Upton have three kids together Dashiell John (14), Roman Roberta (11) and Ignatius Martin (7). The couple adopted 6 months old daughter Edith in March this year stating that they always wanted to adopt a child and now they are happy to have her as a family. The couple describes their tot as a sheer pleasure of joy.
Daddy Upton doesn’t wish little Edith to follow their steps of showbiz but then he believes she should follow her heart and go ahead with whatever she likes to do, though she is too small to think of a career right now.
The upcoming movies of Cate Balanchett scheduled for release this are “Carol”, “Truth” and “Manifesto”.
