CBS New Show ‘Battle Creek’ Premiere Scoop: An Interesting Duo of Crime Busters
CBS has announced the premiere date of the new crime-busting series “Battle Creek.” Read on for further details.
According to the official site of CBS, the show will premiere on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at 10:00 p.m. “Battle Creek” is a series about two law enforcement officials who have extremely different perceptions of their surroundings and battling crime. Their differences lead to scorn, frustration, humor and eventually, a “grudging respect” with each other or from other people while busting crime in the dangerous streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew, played by Dean Winters from “P. S. I Love You,” “30 Rock” and “CSI: Miami,” is good-hearted but has a short temper. His life takes an unexpected twist as he becomes the partner of the charismatic and drop-dead gorgeous Special Agent Milton “Milt” Chamberlain, played by Josh Duhamel from “When in Rome,” “Life as We Know It” and “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.” Their partnership started because Milt established an FBI field office in the police station and chose Russ as his partner.
Russ’s co-workers are used to the underfunded department that they become so amazed with Milt’s sophisticated charm and unlimited access to high-technology equipment. In the “economically distressed” city, the effective way to catch criminals is either Milt’s modern tools or Russ’s traditional use of deception.
“Battle Creek” also stars Janet McTeer from “Into the Storm,” “The White Queen” and “Damages” to play Commander Guziewicz; Kal Penn from “House, M. D.,” “How I Met Your Mother” and “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle” to play Detective Fontanelle; Edward “Grapevine” Fordham Jr. from “Cuts,” “My Name Is Earl” and “Punk’d” to play Detective Aaron Funkhauser; and Aubrey Dollar from “The Good Wife,” “Weeds” and “Ugly Betty” to play Holly.
Executive producers are creator Vince Gilligan from “Breaking Bad” and Mark Johnson. “Battle Creek” is produced by High Bridge Productions and Shore Z Productions. It is distributed by Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS).
There you have it for the scoop on “Battle Creek,” which will premiere on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at 10:00 p.m. on CBS. For more updates about this show, including spoilers and recaps, follow Movie News Guide (MNG).
