Charlie Hunnam Reveals His Secret to Beating Brad Pitt’s Body
Charlie Hunnam may be one of the hottest actors of his generation following the hit success of his role in the series, “Sons of Anarchy.” Now, Hunnam is set to play the role of King Arthur in “Knights of the Round Table.” How does Hunnam keep himself fit despite his busy schedule? Read on to learn more about this scoop.
Hunnam became infamous for his role in the UK 90’s drama, “Queer as Folk” wherein he starred a gay role next to “Game of Thrones” star Aiden Gillan. While Hunnam marked his name in the industry after his successful role in “Sons of Anarchy” as Jax Teller, the 35-year-old actor is also known for having one of the fittest bodies in Hollywood.
In a previous interview for GQ Magazine, Hunnam recounted the time when “Pacific Rim” director Guillermo del Toro invited him to audition for the lead role.
“My friend, I need you to show up looking like a man capable of saving the world,” Hunnam recounted while putting on a Mexican accent.
Hunnam revealed that Brad Pitt set the bar so high when it comes to expectations as to how a man should look like without a shirt on after his appearance in the film, “Fight Club.” The “Knights of the Round Table” actor, however, said that he took it as a challenge and tried his best to look the part. Hunnam said that he would film 14-15 hours a day for his series and would allot two and a half hours for working out.
Hunnam expressed his thoughts on some people thinking that being an actor is only about looking good and not working hard. The “King Arthur” star said that people should have no excuse for staying fit and working hard, as he works for long hours each day but still has the time to go to the gym.
The “Crimson Peak” actor was also initially slated to appear in the erotic movie, “Fifty Shades of Grey” as Christian Grey next to Dakota Johnson. According to Cinema Blend, Hunnam previously said that he would be dropping out of the project due to his hectic filming schedule for “Sons of Anarchy,” but later on revealed that he was going through a nervous breakdown.
Charlie Hunnam is also slated to appear in “The Lost City of Z” next to Brad Pitt, Robert Pattinson and Sienna Miller.
