The action thriller “John Wick” got a mixed response from critics and audience. The movie did not gross a big amount though managed to pull out the considerable amount as its movie budget was also low. The Keanu Reeves starrer received a collection of $43 million only in US territory surpassing its budget of $20 million. The 51-year-old Canadian actor and producer will reprise the lead role of formerly retired assassin John Wick in the sequel along with co-director Chad Stahelski and screenwriter Derek Kolstad, as stated by Screen Rant.
In a recent update, it is speculated that “John Wick” sequel has already started its preliminary shooting in New York. Other sources claim that movie also shot some sequences in Brooklyn. People saw notices of no-parking for a project titled “JW2” which of course symbolically means “John Wick 2.”
It is obviously understandable that the movie will be using some of its significant whereabouts from the first part. There has been no revelation on the story line of the sequel at this point of time. It is rumored that many new characters would be introduced in the sequel. It was also because most of the characters in the first part passed on in the violence.
“John Wick” looks promising franchise wise and has lots of potential to gain commercial success. The sequel speculated to show more bloody violence than the original.
