Chicago Fire Season 5: Grant to Make it Alive in Episode 2?
Chicago Fire Season 5’s latest episode shows escalating tensions. It looks like Jimmy’s actions are clearly not working for him in terms of having more people on his side.
The death of Jimmy’s brother has contributed to mounting issues and it is observed that some people in Firehouse 51 are not exactly supportive. They have begun to shockingly take sides.
Danny’s death during the fire at the close of the last season and Jimmy (Steve McQueen) pointing a finger at Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) is not going to work in his favor. His actions are going to get him into a thick mess with the other co-workers.
Jimmy becomes violent when he hears the name of Boden and he uses unparliamentary language as a way to let off steam. He blames Boden for causing Danny’s death.
His toxic behavior really gets to Herrmann who begins to completely lose his cool. This spoils the relationship between the two and things only get worse from here on. Heavy confrontation follows.
During the premiere episode of Chicago Fire season 5, Kelly Severide slashed the neck of Grant. He did it allegedly to protect Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and himself from imminent danger.
Grant has been severely hurt and his health is spiraling downward. In a sneak peek by TV Guide, Grant is shown bleeding profusely and is in an ambulance. He is almost passing out. Their mates hastily come out to check what the commotion is all about. Stella decides to join Grant to the hospital.
Severide, meanwhile, is making a story to the cops about the attack on Grant, though it does not hold water. Will Grant come out of this incident alive. If not, will the jury give a clean chit to Severide?
Chicago Fire airs on Tuesdays at 10/9c on NBC.
