As of late, one Super Junior member has been the talk of the town and has become quite popular over the last few months, thanks to his recent stint as Kim Shin Hyuk in the drama “She Was Pretty,” which will on Nov. 11, 2015- Choi Siwon. However, Siwon, who is slated to enter into conscripted service sometime later this month, isn’t just popular due to his good looks and talent, but also as he has been very active in the last few years with charitable organizations such as UNICEF. It has just recently earned him a special citation from them. Read on to learn more about Choi Siwon’s recent special citation from UNICEF, and to learn more about his recent activities.
Super Junior member Choi Siwon has definitely been the talk of the town for the past few months, as his popularity has risen thanks to the ongoing drama “She Was Pretty,” which will end on Nov. 11, 2015, just a few days prior to his entry into conscripted service.
However, it seems like the actor and singer is leaving behind a legacy, which will probably be easy to pick up from when he comes back. Not only has his popularity risen thanks to the drama, but according to Soompi, he has been chosen as the Special Representative for the Korean branch of UNICEF.
He was chosen to become the country’s representative as he, in previous years, contributed to some of their campaigns, such as the Santa Campaign in 2013, the Popcoin Campaign in 2014, and most recently, the Bracelets for Nepal Campaign.
The actor has stated that he is grateful this wonderful honor, and the report went on to say that a special certificate will be presented to him this coming Nov. 12, 2015, one day after “She Was Pretty” ends its run.
Meanwhile, it seems like Siwon has listened to some of his fans and fellow Super Junior member Kyuhyun as he has shaven off the beard he had been sporting for the drama, as seen both in his official Instagram account and in, according to K-Drama Starz, the drama that he is currently in.
Last week, Siwon posted a picture on Instagram of the cover of the November issue of the Hong Kong magazine Prestige, where he sported a clean shaven look.
However, it looks like his bearded days are definitely over as his character on the drama also shaved his beard off in order to reveal his true identity to the main characters of the drama.
