Chris Pine has been rumored to play varied roles in the DC cinematic universe and now according to the latest reports, Warner Bros., wants him to play “Green Lantern.”
According to Latino Review, there are rumors that the 34-year-old American actor may join the DC movies franchise as Hal Jordon aka “Green Lantern.” Few months back, Pine was rumored to play the role of Steve Trevor, Diana Prince’s love interest in “Wonder Woman.” So, these rumors have already ignited the fire in the past and that’s why we do not want our hopes to get high this time. For those who do not follow “Green Lantern” comics, Hal Jordan is one of the most charismatic Lanterns ever created by the DC. Hal Jordan served as a pilot for the Air Force. After that, he was chosen by Abin Sabur for Green Lantern Corps. to oversee Sector 2814.
In addition to Pine, “Selma” star Common and “Fast and Furious” cast member Tyrese Gibson are also linked with the “Green Lantern.” But Common is currently playing the role of “Green Lantern” in David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” so there are lesser chances for him to play the role in any other Movie Universe.
Pine would be great casting as “Green Lantern,” much better than Steve Trevor. Well, “Green Lantern” movie is currently slated for 2020 release so a lot can change over the next five years. No confirmation is being given by the star or his representatives.
Pine’s agent would not suggest him to take on the role of a love interest (“Wonder Woman”) and it would be cinematic gold if DC universe and Warner Bros., takes “Green Lantern” to the “Justice League.”
