Chris Pratt Bonds with Little Fans at Children’s Hospital of Orange County
There’s nothing like doing a good deed for others, and Chris Pratt did just that by spending his time off to visit a children’s hospital, giving cheer and support to his little fans there. Read on for further details.
On Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, Pratt went to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County in behalf of the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, where he spent the rest of the day meeting the young patients and giving them gifts.
One of the patients was little Emma, who apparently knew Pratt was coming and gave him a painting she made. In his Facebook page, Pratt posted a photo of them together, with him holding the painting she gave him. The photo was captioned with praises for Emma for winning her battle against childhood cancer.
Another patient Pratt met was “Mighty Matthew,” who is still undergoing treatment and has already lost his hair as a side effect. Nevertheless, the kid eagerly cracked a smile with Pratt as they both posed for a photo.
Grateful for Pratt’s visit, the hospital expressed their gratitude by posting on their Twitter page, “@prattprattpratt Thank you SO much for visiting our patients! They had a blast. We appreciate your time and please come again soon!”
This wouldn’t be the first time that Pratt visited a hospital and gave their patients the time of their lives. In August 2014, Pratt visited the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital dressed in his “Guardians of the Galaxy” costume, where he played with Legos along with the children.
“I stole the jacket and some of the wardrobe so that, if this movie comes out and does what everyone hopes it can, I can follow the example of someone — say, like, a Russell Wilson, you know — and go visit kids,” Pratt told Panzer TV, referring to a Seattle Seahawks quarterback who would visit children’s hospitals weekly.
