Chrissy Teigen Slams Body Shamers Who Attack Her Baby Bump
Chrissy Teigen recently said that she will avoid tweeting about her pregnancy because of the body shamers who attack her baby bump on social media. Read on for more details.
No more pregnancy tweets for 29-year-old model Chrissy Teigen. It must be recalled that her baby bump arrived less than a week after she and her husband, John Legend, broke the news that they are expecting their first baby. She captured her baby bump and posted the photo on her Instagram page. Check out the photo below.
The caption reads: “Somebody is early to the party.”
When she posted the said picture, body shamers started to criticize her plump bump. The criticism has led the mom-to-be to swear off tweeting or posting about her pregnancy. She posted the baby bump photo hours before she slammed her critics on Twitter.
“No more preg tweeting for me, lesson learned!! Back to food and reality TV and hay things,” Teigen tweeted on Sunday, October 18, to her nearly 1 million Twitter followers.
Teigen, who walked on the red carpet a day after revealing her pregnancy, faced immediate rumors from fans to whether she is expecting twins. She responded and retweeted to her followers who commented about the size of her baby bump with a frowning emoji face.
The model confirmed that she’s not expecting twins and said that her IVF treatment included implantation of one embryo only.
“I did IVF. One at a time. It isn’t twins. I can see the damn thing. Get out of my uterus. I put one embryo in. I have ultrasounds every few days. I didn’t announce at a week,” she said.
According to People, Even though Chrissy Teigen has already sworn off tweeting about her pregnancy, she still maintained her sense of humor and joked that her changing pregnant body was her own doing. Check out her tweet below.
