Rumors have been swirling that Supercell is getting ready to release another massive update for the popular game. However, the conflicting news and the game developer’s silence has also led to speculations that the rumors are just that – rumors. Still, gamers continue to hold on to the hope that they will be getting some interesting loot during Christmas holidays.

Meanwhile, a recent GameNGuide report teased that the Clash of Clans December 2016 update will provide players with a whole new set of troops and various battle grounds.

Clash of Clans: Pirates, Mermaids and Golems Will Bring Holiday Cheer

There had been reports that new characters will be introduced. Some of the reported characters that are said to be arriving are pirates, mermaids and the requisite sea monsters. It has also been said that submarines and several underwater weapons are on the way as well.

Pirates and submarines might come off as implausible. But it’s certainly in line with the rumors of a shipwreck. Meanwhile, a Red Barbarian monarch is also said to be making its way to Clash of Clans. Unfortunately, there is not much detail provided for the character.

Furthermore, players can also expect the golems, hog riders and wall breakers to have a different look once the December update arrives. Perhaps they will look a bit more festive or Christmas-y? That is definitely something that will make the holiday season brighter for fans of Clash of Clans.
