Deadline, exclusively reports Will Smith will be replacing Hugh Jackman in “Collateral Beauty.” The plot of the drama revolves around a New York advertising executive who experiences a personal tragedy and the subsequent unconventional plan from his colleagues to break him out of his depression.
Rooney Mara is still attached to the film and will co-star alongside Smith; until she’s got a problem with Big Willie Style or Willennium that will stop her participation.
Hugh Jackman has departed for his latest Wolverine film because of scheduling conflicts and issues with 20th Century Fox. The acceptance of Smith to work in this film, reflects his interests to star in dramas between his works on blockbusters like “Suicide Squad.”
Apart from Anonymous Content, PalmStar and Likely Story, Overbrook Entertainment will also co-produce the project, while the script comes from writer Allan Loeb, who has mixed results on the big screen.
