The Comeback is Coming Back to HBO!

When it comes to comedy TV series, we know that Lisa Kudrow is one of the best and after “Friends,” she had a comedy TV series on HBO, “The Comeback.” The series ran for only 13 episodes in 2005 and it looks like “The Comeback” is coming back to HBO!

In March 2014, there have been rumours flying around about “The Comeback” returning to HBO, but no one has confirmed this. The good news is that according to E! News, the show will come back for a six-episode run and production will start on May 19, 2014.

HBO has not confirmed this project yet but according to E! News’ sources, writers are already working on the script for the new episodes that will air for two weeks. And these new episodes will pick up where the series left off. Original stars are coming back, too such as Kellan Lutz, Malin Ackerman and of course, Lisa Kudrow.

The six episodes that will run are considered to be standalone event series but if the show does well, it could be possible to bring back the series completely. Fans of the show must be excited to see “The Comeback” again. It is considered a great comedy TV series.

Michael Patrick King will still be the director of the show together with writers Dan Bucantisky of “Scandal” and Amy B. Harris of “Sex and the City.” With these geniuses behind the new episodes of “The Comeback,” we know for sure that it’s going to do great!

HBO is really on a comedic roll as they renewed other comedy TV series this April 2014, such as “Silicon Valley” and “Veep.” You can read more about that here.

So, what do you think of “The Comeback” coming back to HBO? Is this good news or REALLY great news? If you haven’t seen it, you might want to watch all 13 episodes on Amazon or HBOGo! We are betting on it that you will love it. Hopefully, there will be cameos of “Friends” co-stars including Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Greene), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani) and David Schwimmer (Ross Geller). Now, that would be a comeback to watch out for, don’t you think? For more news about “The Comeback” and other entertainment news, catch it here at Movie News Guide (MNG).
