Tina Fey and Amy Poehler came on the recent episode of “Saturday Night Live” to promote their film “Sisters.” They were all fun.
According to Indiewire, this “SNL” episode was graced by none other than comedians, Fey, 45, and Poehler, 44. “Sisters” produced by Fey and Poehler has hit the theaters and the two decided to host the “SNL” finally before the Christmas arrives. The ladies have also acted in the movie.
While Fey acted like Sarah Palin, Poehler chose to be a bit of Hillary Clinton on the show, reports Rollingstone. Poehler also joined special guest, Maya Rudolph, 43, in Bronx Beat. The major highlight of the show was when Fey and Amy parodied Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” with a video, “Dope Squad.”
Meet Your Second Wife
Many would agree on it that “Dope Squad” was the most entertaining. The show turned a bit intense when feminist statements started pouring. The setup was highly interesting and added to the mood of “Saturday Night Live.” It depicted that there was a secret and brand new show, which “Sisters” actresses, Fey and Poehler hosted.
There were three married men in this show and they were told that soon they would be presented their future second wives. And as the show progressed, they discovered their new wives very young. The fun element is amplified with the reactions of people and characters on the episode.
Colin Jost, 33, and Michael Che, 32, as the co-anchors of the “Weekend Update” have never looked bad and they delivered funnier jokes this time. The 31-year-old Kate McKinnon as Deenie, a mother in her middle age was excellent.
In between the show, “SNL,” viewers also saw her trying to swallow Tupperware container. She referred to some of the characters as big boobs, mustache, sexpot and perfect skin and it sounded really hilarious.
The former TV hosts Chad and Victoria Douglas were seen hawking a DVD on this episode of “Saturday Night Live.” This DVD stashed some Xmas highlights of their show from the past. Viewers had lots of fun amidst the Christmas classics no doubt.
Rudolph played the role of a woozy torch singer who hurled gifts to some scared children forcefully. Viewers saw “Sisters” actress, Poehler as an annoyed singer who had consumed lot of cocaine. Fey portrayed one half duet of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” and one half of 37-year-old, Kenan Thompson’s jiggly-eyed Bill Cosby.
