It’s Confirmed! Sarah Jessica Parker to Play Main Lead in HBO’s ‘Divorce’
“Sex and the City” fame Sarah Jessica Parker is once again set to star in another HBO’s upcoming drama titled “Divorce” by Sharon Horgan who is an Irish actor-writer-director and gained huge round of applause this year for co-creating “Catastrophe,” a relationship comedy. The confirmation for the same has hit the market after HBO released an image having the face of the beautiful lady on it. Read On!
The 50-year-old parker will play the character of Frances in the show described as “the story of a very, very long divorce.” The other onboard members are Molly Shannon, Thomas Haden Church, Tracy Letts and Talia Balsam. It is also revealed that the story is based on the life of a woman who after divorce tries to give a fresh start to her life but finds it really difficult.
The show is said to be executively produced by Parker, Sharon Horgan, Paul Simms, Aaron Kaplan and Alison Benson, whereas Merman Films and Kapital Entertainment will see the production work for “Divorce.”
Last year, Michael Lombardo, the programming president of HBO, while attending the Television Critics Association press day, talked about “Divorce” and its scheduled release which is set for summer 2016.
So, it is now confirmed that the Golden Globe Award winner Parker is coming back and her togetherness with HBO is long lasting. Other then this TV series, the actress is also waiting for her romantic comedy movie titled “All Roads Lead to Rome” which is also slated for release in the upcoming year only.
