Conspiracy Behind Caitlyn Jenner’s ESPN Award
Caitlyn Jenner, the new female persona of Olympian and iconic reality star Bruce Jenner, is recently rumored to be a big diva as ESPN’s prestigious ESPY Awards 2015 draws near. Read on for details.
According to Radar Online, Jenner’s team was the one who insisted to receive the significant Arthur Ashe Courage Award from ESPN. An insider claimed that the award was included on the deal with ABC, letting the 65-year-old Jenner be interviewed by Diane Sawyer.
“There was a hiccup during the talks about Caitlyn receiving the award, and her reps were prepared to pull her interview with Diane Sawyer if she didn’t get it,” the insider stated. “It was ironed out, and ABC owns one of the biggest stories of the year.”
However, ESPN gladly accepted the deal because of publicity. OK! Magazine reported that Jenner’s appearance in the ESPYs would be featured in Jenner’s most-awaited reality show “I Am Cait.” It will be an even bigger event because of a star-studded appearance by Jenner’s children.
Despite the full support of Jenner’s family, Rob Kardashian is reported to skip the event. Radar’s insider claimed that Kardashian is still in hiding because of self-esteem issues.
“Rob fully supports Caitlyn, but remains in a dark place and doesn’t want to go out in public because he isn’t comfortable with his physical appearance,” the source said.
The ESPYs also promises an exciting red carpet event. Jenner had her sights on Patricia Field, the famous costume designer of “Sex and the City.” Field is said to be an ultimate supporter of transgenders. Hollywood Life claimed that Jenner would prepare for the red carpet in a five star hotel suite in Beverly Hills.
Although, Field’s representative remained mum whether the designer would really create Jenner’s dress. Jenner also voiced out her doubts lately in appearing at the red carpet event.
