Covert Affairs Update: Wolverine’s Lynn Collins Turns Russian Spy

“Covert Affairs” has added a new cast member with an interesting role to supplement the current storyline. According to TV Line, actress Lynn Collins (“X-Men Origins: Wolverine,”  “True Blood”), has been added to the cast as a female Russian spy. Warning! This article contains spoilers about the current season. Read further to learn more about this sccop and the current season of “Covert Affairs.”

When we last left “Covert Affairs,” things were definitely leaning more towards the Russian side, as CIA agent Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) continues to get closer to private bank owner Ivan Krevac, who just so happens to be a former Russian spy. She does this in order to discover who was the mastermind behind the Chicago bombing which claimed the lives of several CIA agents — one of whom was Auggie Anderson’s (Christopher Gorham) close friend. It was later discovered that Krevac’s bank account was used to pay The Postman, NSA agent Harris Wilson, and the Altan siblings, who were responsible for the bombing.

Things will definitely get more interesting and action packed as actress Lynn Collins  will be portraying FSB operative Olga Akarova, another strong female character, who is not afraid of doing whatever it takes to get the job done. Fans can bet that as the role is a recurring one, Annie and the new Russian spy will definitely meet each other from time to time.

Collins joins a slew of other notable guest stars on “Covert Affairs,” such as Perrey Reeves as Caitlyn Cook, Nic Bishop as Ryan McQauaid and Nanzeen Contractor as the call girl named Sidney.
