‘Criminal Minds’ Season 11: David Rossi’s Daughter Joy To Reprise Her Role, Marisol Nichols Joins FBI’s Top Agent

There is just 20 days left for the return of the ‘mind hunter’ team in CBS’s hit show “Criminal Minds.” The upcoming season 11 of the show ensures a twisted and bizarre season opener, which is cleared from the newly released trailer. Read more to find out the secrets in the upcoming show.

The trailer shows how Hotch & Co. starts investigating an antagonist [or a claimed mole in the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) team] who overwhelms his victims tacitly and injects them. Then he, wearing a mask, paints something over their faces and leaves behind certain proofs to assure the investigators that he is doing everything for vengeance.

According to Realty Today, the BAU team hires a forensic psychologist, Dr. Tara Lewis, as they feel the requirement for an investigation. Dr. Lewis’ character is played by Aisha Tyler, who has been casted to fill the void created by the exit of Jennifer Jareau (portrayed as A J Cook) for her pregnancy. The outlet also confirmed the entry of ABC TV series “GCB’s” star Marisol Nichols in the second episode as Natalie Colfax. She would be a top agent at FBI’s LA outpost.

Enstars has confirmed that Joe Mantegna’s character David Rossi’s daughter Joy would be again seen in the episode seven of “Criminal Minds” season 11. Erica Messer, the showrunner said that they hold the idea of featuring more of her in the upcoming show.

Messer shared with TVLine that the production is all set to try something a tad different this time with the arrival of “The Dirty Dozen.”

“Messer believes the show’s audience of 11 years is ready for a ‘much more serialized’ season, so this year’s kicks off with an investigation into ‘The Dirty Dozen,’ a network of hit men that will be ‘a heavy thing’ for Hotch et al to investigate, and a story ‘that really won’t culminate until the end of the season,” TVLine reported.

“Criminal Minds” season 11 will be premiering on Sept. 30, 2015 on CBS.
