‘Criminal Minds’ Season 11 Promo Features Aisha Tyler, A Mole In The Team? [Watch the video]
Not even a month is left for the airing of “Criminal Minds” season 11 and lot of new stars like Jackie Chan and Aisha Taylor are reported to have joined the cast. On the other hand, the viewers’ one of the favorite characters, Agent A J Cook (played by Jennifer Jareau) and Agent Kate Callahan (Jennifer Love Hewitt) will not be seen in the upcoming season. A recently released premiere trailer for season 11 will clear more about it.
The trailer shows how Hotch & Co. tackles a “twisted” and “bizarre” case and there is a mole in the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) team. But a suspense is generated as it is still unclear who the real mole is. In the meantime, Eric Messer, the executive producer and showrunner, shared a few insights with TVLine about CBS’ “Criminal Minds” season 11.
“This UnSub does some, obviously, weird stuff to his victims, which includes painting their faces. And then we learn why he’s doing it, because he himself has a really hard-to-look-at face,” Messer said.
According to Design & Trend, the trailer also shows the involvement of Dr. Tara Lewis (Aisha Taylor), a psychologist, to help the BAU in filling the void generated by the exit of Jareau’s character A J Cook. On the other hand, Shemar Moore’s character, Derek Morgan, says in the trailer that the “UnSub” tacitly overwhelms his victim and then puts the injection. A character wearing a mask is also observed painting the face of one of the victims.
It was earlier said that Dr. Lewis will be the love interest of Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler). But recently Messer echoed, as confirmed by Christian Post, that the season premiere would have him in a very disturbing scene.
“He gets to do a take down Reid style, which is just using his brain with a physical thing that’s really disturbing – you have to turn away. It’s not a standoff with a gun, it’s a Reid version of a takedown,” Messer opined.
“Criminal Minds” season 11 will premiere on Sept. 30, 2015 on CBS.
