The upcoming “Criminal Minds” Season 11 new episodes are reported to delve in more into characters’ lives, adding another character from the usual cast. Read on for more details.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Aisha Tyler was tapped to play the role of a forensic psychologist Dr. Tara Lewis. Her character, which will focus on criminal cases, will be the newest member of Behavioral Analyst Unit (BAU). If the rumors were true, she will be the new romantic partner of Dr. Spencer Reid played by Matthew Gray Gubler.


In his latest interview with Digital Spy during the Monte Carlo TV Festival, Gubler disclosed his interest into the character’s personal life, giving his opinion about the new season’s concept of focusing more on the characters. For Gubler, it’s always fun when the writer looks deep into the character’s lives. Revealing that he’ll definitely love to know his character’s home life and social life. Look into how Dr. Lewis will spend his weekends.

On the other hand, other “Criminal Minds” cast has also been busy promoting the upcoming season of the series.

Actors Joe Mantegna and Esai Morales, who’s playing the role as David Rossi and Mateo Cruz, have recently given the fans a chance to get in touch with them through Reddit’s Ask Me Anything (AMA) session.

In their convo’s, the two actors gave several hints regarding the casting for the much-awaited season.

One of the clues that were dropped during the Q&A session was about Paget Brewster’s appearance in the series. According to Mantegna, their producer  mentioned it in an interview that there is a possibility that Brewster’s  may return from time to time.

Mantegna also revealed that he’ll be directing two episodes in season 11 and that he’s going to bring in more personal stories into those upcoming episodes.

He added that there will be more character development to be included in the coming season.

“I’ve been married three times, we’ve dealt with two of my wives so far, so there’s a possibility you might find out more about wife number three,” Mantegna concluded.

The first episode for the new “Criminal Minds” season 11 is set to air on Sept. 30, 2015.
