The audience found that the unsub (unknown subject) giving a blow to the head of a victim and keeping them in a basement. Then she was strangled to death. According to Christian Today, earlier the team had an idea of a man involved in the crime but later they were confirmed by their own investigation that the killer was a female.
Finally, the BAU team discovered that the unsub was none other than Dana Seavers (Ashley Fink) who is mentally ill. Ecumenical News elaborated her as a florist who had a delusion that Ryan Becker (David Paetkau), a wedding photographer, was in love with her.
Seavers had the delusion that Becker was asking her to exterminate the women and at the end she admitted that she was only abided by his instruction.
