Criminal Minds Season 11 Spoilers: Spencer Reid Gets New Love Interest After Girlfriend’s Death

“Criminal Minds” season 11 spoilers revealed that the forthcoming episodes could focus on Spencer Reid’s love life, after the death of his girlfriend, Maeve.

Speaking to TV Guide “Criminal Minds” show runner Erica Messer teased that in season 11, Spencer Reid (Matther Gray Gubler) could have a new love interest. Fans speculate that Dorian Loker (Emily Churchill) might just be the one to take Maeve’s place. Messer, however, revealed that a Spencer- Dorian arc is not happening anytime soon. She added that Churchill’s character will not be returning to the CBS series if season 11 gets renewed.

Fans of “Criminal Minds” will also see Spencer finally move on from the dead of Maeve after two years.

“We want him to smile again and we think everybody else does too,” Messer said.

However, the executive producer may somewhat forgot to mention Dylan Einstein (Candace Hammer), who happens to be Reid’s possible paramours that drove the curiosity of fans when she appeared in “Hero Worship.” Obviously, that could just mean that Messer is not at all interested with her at all.

For Reid’s love life, it seems that we won’t see him being link to anyone this season. As for Messer and her team – if the show gets renewed and if Gubler returns – “will probably discuss it and figure it out at some point next season.”

Fans waiting for Spencer Reid to step up his game and finally found true love should definitely wait for some developments come “Criminal Minds” season 11.
