According to TV Line, actor Luke Perry is set to appear on “CSI: Cyber,” joining the likes of Patricia Arquette, James Van Der Beek, Shad Moss (Bow Wow), Peter MacNicol and Charley Koontz. Perry will be portraying the role of Nick Dalton, a former FBI agent who was in the running to operate the new cyber unit located in Washington DC. However, Dalton did not succeed in getting the job due to a “classified falling out.” Instead, he worked for the private sector as a “futurist.” His role is important as his character is vital to Ryan’s back story, as he holds many secrets about her and her past.
Perry is an actor who has graced both the small and silver screens. Among his television credits include the original series “Beverly Hills 90210” (1990-2000), “Oz” (2001-2002), “Jeremiah” (2002-2004), “Body of Proof” (2012-2013). His film credits include “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (1992), “The Fifth Element”(1997) and “The Enemy” (2001).
“CSI: Cyber” is the newest and latest spin-off in the “CSI” franchise, which includes “CSI: Miami” and “CSI: NY.” It is different from the other spin-offs, as this series focuses on the FBI’s Cyber Crime Division, where they concentrate on crimes that “start in the mind, live in the mind, and play out in the real world.” Heading the Cyber Crime division is Special Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette). This spin-off is based on real life cyber psychologist Mary Aiken.
