Dad-To-Be John Legend Write Songs for Unborn Baby
R&B singer John Legend reportedly started writing songs for his unborn child. Read on for more details.
According to Belfast Telegraph, the 36-year-old singer and songwriter has already started new songs. Who is his inspiration? Well, the answer to that is his unborn child. Legend and his 29-year-old wife, model Chrissy Teigen, are now preparing to become first-time parents.
The nine-time Grammy awardee famously wrote “All of Me” for Teigen in 2013. Now, he is inspired to create new tunes for their first baby. However, Teigen revealed that Legend previously said that he was not going to “that guy” who will write a song for their baby.
“A few years ago, a lot of people were writing songs when they got pregnant and he was like, ‘I just feel like I’m not gonna be that guy, I’m not gonna write a song,” Teigen previously said in one of the episodes of her U.S. talk show “FABLife.”
“He said, ‘I think Stevie Wonder wrote Isn’t She Lovely?, how can you do anything better than that? I’m just not gonna be that guy.’ And then yesterday he texted me, ‘Writing a song for our baby!’” Teigen added.
Teigen shared the news during the Monday episode of her show, Oct. 26, 2015. She also admitted that she and Legend were really excited to start their own family.
It will be recalled that Teigen previously opened up about their struggle to conceive as well as their attempts at In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment.
On Sept. 15, 2015, Teigen said: “I will say, honestly, John and I are having trouble. We would have had kids five, six years ago if it’d happened. But my gosh, it’s been a process!”
After a few weeks, on Oct. 12, 2015, the couple announced the pregnancy news online with a photo of Legend sweetly touching Teigen’s stomach.
The couple began dating in 2007 and got married in on Sept. 14, 2013 in Como, Italy.
