‘Daddy’s Home’ Trailer Pits ‘The Other Guys’ Against Each Other

Will Ferrell has always managed to surprise fans with his comic timing. Be it movies like the recently released “Get Hard” with Kevin Hart, “Anchorman” where he plays the stupid yet good looking news presenter Ron Burgundy or “The Lego movie”.  He has now teamed up with his “The Other Guys” co-star Mark Wahlberg for another comedy movie but this time around he won’t be walking side by side with Mark but instead against him as he tries to prove his worth as a dad. The movie has been titled “Daddy’s Home”. The first trailer of the movie was launched recently and it shows just how contrast both the actors are in the movie.

According to Yahoo! Movies, its been five years since Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg’s comedy caper hit the silver screens. Response for the movie was phenomenal and fans gave it a huge thumbs up. Waiting for both the actors to team up again, it seems like their wish was just fulfilled. Will plays the role of a radio executive who wants nothing but a sweet and happy family with becoming a father being his top priority. He does manage to get that when he marries Linda Cardellini’s character Sarah and becomes a father to her two children, a son and a daughter. Life unfortunately isn’t a fairy tale for him since their real father shows up wanting to win the family back.

It is being reported that Mark will be playing the role of a special ops agent who is completely opposite to Will’s character. He will be rough, tough and strong just like their previous venture where Mark was playing the more serious guy and Will the goofier one. Rest of the trailer shows how the two men fight it out to win the children’s attention and prove themselves as the better father. This Dad vs Step-dad face off will hit the theaters in December this year.
