‘Dance Moms’ Star Maddie Ziegler Hosts New York Fashion Week with Elle

The rising star Maddie Ziegler from “Dance Moms” does not only shine in dancing. The Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) favorite is now up for hosting on Fashion Week. Read on for further details.

According to the official site of Elle Magazine, the 12-year-old reality star to be the correspondent on New York Fashion Week 2015. Ziegler is going to attend shows with the magazine’s staff and share pictures of models and herself behind the scenes. Expect star-studded after-parties, front row point of view and interesting backstage fittings.


Ziegler’s e-mail to the magazine’s site stated that Sia’s muse is excited for the fresh opportunity. She described them as an “amazing partner” for the Fashion Week. She sent it right before performing with “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) comedienne Kristen Wiig and Sia to the song “Chandelier” at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in Feb. 8, 2015.

“…they truly are one-of-a-kind and groundbreaking,” Ziegler told Elle.com.

According to magazine, Ziegler will be on the job from Monday to Thursday, Feb. 16 to Feb. 19, 2015.

At the Grammys, Armani-clad Ziegler was noticed by massive viewers as she walked down the red carpet with Sia. Like Ziegler, Wiig also wore a skin-toned one-piece in their stage performance. According to Fashionista.com, Ziegler felt honored to dance with the comedy actress. She commended her to dance so well despite lack of experience in dancing. She shared that Wiig was so independent in learning the routine. About the infamous Sia wig, she admitted that it could be “a little hot.”

Sia’s Grammy performance is hailed as one of the most unforgettable moments during the event because of Wiig and Ziegler’s electrifying routine. Included in the excited audience was Ziegler’s controversial outspoken coach Abby Lee Miller. Miller tweeted a thank-you message for Sia. She claimed that the powerhouse singer is a fan of ALDC. She also thanked the singer for “embracing” the talent of Ziegler. Then she stated on her Instagram that she felt like swinging on a chandelier.

“Dance Moms” airs every Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. on Lifetime.
