‘Dancing With the Stars’ Judge, Julianne Hough Engaged to Canadian Ice Hockey Player, Brooks Laich
The two-time dancing star and now a permanent judge of ABC’s reality dance show “Dancing With the Stars,” Julianne Hough is now engaged to the famous ice hockey player of Canada, Brooks Laich. Read on for more details.
To share the news of their engagement, the charming couple took to their respective Instagram accounts and wrote, “We are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to share with you our recent engagement! #fiancé #love.”
E! News reported that it was Laich, who put the proposal of engagement in front of Hough in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The couple started dating each other in Dec. 2013. It was after Teddy Sears, Hough’s “Curve” co-star introduced them. Last year, Hough in an interview with Redbook, confirmed her relationship with Laich after Ryan Seacrest and Zack Wilson.
Hough is an actress and after winning the “Dancing With the Stars” competition twice, she was asked to judge the same show which she accepted. She has also worked in movies like “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” “Burlesque,” “Footloose,” “Rock of Ages” and “Paradise.” Her film “Curve” is in filming process and another movie “Dirty Grandpa” is in post-production stage.
On the other hand, Brooks Laich is the player of Washington Capitals. He is currently playing the National Hockey League under WC team. He represented Canada internationally and won a silver medal at the 2003 World Junior Championships.
It is surprising that both of them had never seen the works of each other’s respectively. It was reported that neither Laich saw Hough’s “Dancing With the Stars” episode nor Hough seen Laich’s Washington Capitals game. But as per Hough, both of them are open to each other since day one and Laich found himself a pretty lucky guy for having Hough by his side.
It seems that they are the perfect match for each other. Let’s wish the couple a very happy and blessed life ahead!
