Daniel Gillies and Rachael Leigh Cook Announce Birth of Second Baby
With more than ten years of marriage and being blessed with a baby girl less than two years ago, Daniel Gillies and Rachael Leigh Cook have just finally welcomed the arrival of their new baby boy. Read on.
E! News reports that at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, Cook gave birth to a baby boy, her second child with Gillies. The couple named their baby boy Theodore Vigo Sullivan Gillies. Though other details on little Theodore’s birth have not yet been given out (not even a cute first photo!), the report says that he is a healthy baby with a weight of 8 pounds and 14 ounces, and a height of 20.5 inches.
Theodore is the second child for Gillies and Cook. He joined in the family with his elder sister, 18-month old Charlotte Easton.
Cook tweeted the link of the article of her son’s birth, captioned with, “Welcome to the party, Little Buddy. We love you so much.” US Magazine reported she was also spotted doing her grocery shopping at the Pavilions in West Hollywood two days after. It seems that despite her just giving birth, Cook is now okay enough to handle some shopping and is more than ready to take care of her children.
The couple happily announced of Theodore’s upcoming arrival back in January 2015 in an exclusive report on E! News. “We haven’t slept since 2013 and welcome advice from all parents who survived ‘Two under Two’,” they said.
Gillies and Cook were married in August 2004. They welcomed the arrival of their eldest child in September 2013, with Gillies tweeting shortly after her birth, “it’s a girl. the tiny new empress of my everything. she’s immaculate. we’re delirious.”
Cook previously starred as Kate Moretti in TNT’s TV series “Perception,” with its last episode aired on Tuesday, March 17. On the other hand, Gillies stars in CW’s “The Originals” as Elijah Mikaelson.
