David O. Russell On ‘Joy’ & Jennifer Lawrence
The David O. Russell directorial “Joy” featuring Jennifer Lawrence in the lead role is about to release very soon. The movie is a biographical drama starring Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper in important roles along with Jennifer Lawrence. The film is based on the story of a mother who is struggles hard to survive with her family. According to Reuters, “Joy” is the third movie that brings the magic of “The Hunger Games” actress on-screen under the direction of Russell. They have previously worked together in films like “Silver Linings Playbook” which came in 2012 and bagged many Oscars including the best actress. JLaw played the role of a young window in the movie and was greatly appreciated for her acting skill.
The next project that brought the duo together was “American Hustle” in 2014 for which she got best supporting actress award. Director Russell for sure knows how to take out the best from her. Russell stated that she inspires him to take risk during filmmaking and she loves to explore things beyond her comfort zone that actually make her a fine performer on-screen.
He further stated that they decide to jump off the waterfall and they give completely everything to it. Her attitude to take life as it is extremely wonderful. He went on to prise Lawrence for her enigmatic beauty and style of work which is commendable.
On being asked about movie he stated that it is the movie where in a Joy Mangano played by J Law becomes the Michael Corleone of her family via Wall Street Journal.
“Joy” is slated to release on Christmas that is December 25 by 20th Century Fox.
