The 44-year-old, Walliams, who is best known for his comedy partnership with Matt Lucas, was granted a decree nisi at a brief hearing that conveyed that officially, the union would end within a period of six weeks. Neither David nor Lara were present when their decree nisi was issued along with those of 20 other couples who have filed for divorce.

Dutch model Lara Stone managed to grab attention recently by appearing half naked in a Calvin Klein Jeans photo shoot alongside Justin Bieber. Sources report the photo shoot with the “Where are u now” hitmaker invited trouble in her personal life.

According to The Advertiser, the couple started seeing each other in the latter part of 2009, and announced their engagement in January 2010. Their marriage ceremony took place four months later at London’s Claridge’s hotel.

Diverse reasons are being spotted for their separation. In a previous coverage, the Mirror put the onus on Lara for determining the separation. It was proclaimed that David had no intention to fetch an end of their 5 years of marriage life and tried to sort out the hassle. But Lara was persistent and David admitted for the sake of Alfred, their two-years-old son. The estranged couple began their trial separation six months ago.

Walliams earned his name in the BBC One comedy sketch show, “Little Britain”. He was seen judging “Britain’s Got Talent” on ITV. His reputation for authoring successful children’s book is also pretty commendable. On the other hand, Stone was flamed with fame after she was being signed to Elite Modelling Agency. She has featured in the cover of Vogue Paris, and in the renowned Pirelli calendar.

The divorce was filed on the grounds of “unreasonable behaviour” as David claimed. However, an insider revealed to the Mirror that Stone approved to take the blame to accelerate and finalize the proceedings. Walliams and Stone have not commented publicly on their divorce.
