DC Likely To Cast Dwayne Johnson As Black Adam in ‘Shazam’

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to whom we all know as Rock is said to be playing the role of Black Adam in the superhero movie “Shazam”, which is also produced by him. The “Fast & Furious” actor is believed to be prepping up for the negative role. Read on to find out more about the scoop ahead.

It is rumored that the former wrestler might play a role in the upcoming DC Film and it got a possible hint recently with a tweet from Rock himself. In his latest tweet, he posted a photo sporting in a Superman t-shirt, black pants and dark shoes, the entire picture is black and white except for his Superman tee. The picture created a buzz in social media and got approximately 1000 retweets along with 3k plus favourites’.


Johnson captioned the picture as “No Capes. #BLACKADAMIGKSDTID #OneFineDay #TethInTheBloodstream.” The caption has been decoded by fans in their preferred version like Black Adam is gonna kick down superman or Theth Adam that is Black Adams’ actual name as stated by Yibada.

According to Cinema Blend, Black Adam has been a forerunner in coming incarnations that has been using the same word for triggering his powers. This character posses the power of Egyptian Gods and is said to be corrupted with it. Johnson could be handed a dual duty of performing both as a creator and destroyer in the flick.

It would be tremendously exciting to watch two great characters’ Superman and Black Adam battling on screen again. Although it is speculated that Superman could have a smaller role to divert the attention of the audience.

Dwayne Johnson starrer “Shazam” is set to hit the theatre on Apr. 5, 2019.
