Death Cab For Cutie First 2015 Tour Dates Without Chris Walla Announced

Death Cab For Cutie tour dates for 2015 has just been announced. Check out the full details of tickets and concert dates below.

After releasing their fantastic new album entitled “Kintsugi,” the band  follows-up its run of sold- out shows by touring to Birmingham, London, Manchester and Glasgow.

Since Chris Walla, Death Can for Cutie’s guitarist and founding member left the band to pursue a solo career, the members felt that like their upcoming shows will be their first.

Speaking to Gigwise, frontman Ben Gibbard revealed that Walla’s departure had been “bittersweet.” However, he said that Walla leaving Death Cab For Cutie had been months in the making, so they were not really surprised about it. Gibbard added that the group has been doing well as they prepare for their upcoming tour this 2015.

“We’re going to tour with this new line-up of people we’ve been friends with for some time now, and now we’re ready for a whole new series of experiences out there. It’s really exciting.”

On the upcoming tour, the band’s vocalist and guitarist Gibbard, drummer Jason and bassist Nick Harmer McGer team-up together with new members Dave Depper and Zac Rae, both will be contributing extra keyboards and guitars.

November concert tickets have been up on sale since Friday, Apr. 17, 2015. Upcoming UK dates the band’s concerts are as follows:

June 8,9,10 – O2 Shepherds Bush Empire

November 2 – Glasgow Academy

November 3 – Manchester Academy

November 4 – Brixton Academy, London

November 5 – Birmingham Academy, Birmingham
