“Defiance” Season 2 Episode 2 “In My Secret Life” aired on June 26, 2013. It was directed by Michael Nankin and written by Michael Taylor. The episode ended with Irisa (Stephanie Leonidas) being imprisoned in a cell guarded by her former lover, Tommy (Dewshane Williams). It was after she barged into the gates and had a rift with an E-Rep soldier named Berlin (Anna Hopkins).

Now, Nolan was given a proposition by former Mayor Amanda Rosewater (Julie Benz) for Irisa’s freedom. He was tapped to return to his duty as a lawkeeper. News about an improvised shrill bomb had spread in the entire Defiance. With his skills, he had successfully found the next bomb in Stahma’s car from the bomber named Bradley Wittle. Nolan’s success had been celebrated with a steamy intercourse with Amanda.

Irisa continued to be unlucky in this episode. Irisa had tried to communicate with Tommy by sharing her secret. Irisa confessed to him about getting in her “dark side” due to Irizu. She didn’t share the news with Nolan. Unfortunately, Irisa’s bold move was unfruitful as Tommy seemed contented with his new relationship with Berlin.

Meanwhile, each of the Tarrs had his own set of problems. Provisional Mayor Niles Pottinger (James Murray) had closed of Stahma’s (Jaime Murray) Adreno business for his own use. It seemed that he knew that Amanda was also an addict. Stahma talked to Alak (Jesse Rath) for not taking care of the Skeever in the first place. Datar (Tony Curran), on the other hand, busied himself with their plot on assassinating the Mayor.

On the other hand, it seems that Datar’s (Tony Curran) plan with Doc Ywell (Trenna Keating) didn’t work. They plan on saving the Mayor from being assassinated. Unfortunately, Mayor Niles Pottinger (James Murray) knows what  he is up to. He is still in jail, while his former business have been blossoming under the leadership of Stahma (Jaime Murray).
