Demi Lovato, Avril Lavigne, and Ashley Tisdale Star in Animated Film ‘Charming’

Upcoming animation film  entitled “Charming” is going to showcase Demi Lovato and Avril Lavigne’s talents. Read on for more details.

According to Ryan Seacrest’s official website, the fairytale saga “Charming” is going to feature the voice talents of Lovato, Lavigne, Ashley Tisdale, and the Chinese pop star G.E.M. The animated musical comedy is going to feature the three Disney princesses, Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. Lavigne is going to be the voice of Snow White. Tisdale is going to be the voice of Cinderella, and Chinese Pop Star Gloria Tang Tsz-kei who is known by the stage name G.E.M is going to be the voice of Sleeping Beauty.

The story is a comical take on the fairy tale world. The three princesses are engaged to Prince Charming. Much mayhem ensues when the three find out that it’s the same prince. The story is obviously going to flip the traditional idea of simple “boy marries girl” theme commonly found in most fairy tales. Instead it’s going to dwell over the strange idea of three princesses accidentally getting engaged to the same prince. Lovato also holds the central role of the female lead Lenore. However, Lenore’s story has not been revealed yet. Lovato is also going to executive produce the film’s score.

The movie project was first announced on Sept. 18, 2014. Producer John H. Williams, who is known for the “Shrek” series of films, and Henry Skelsey have newly formed an animated production company 3QU Media. “Charming” is one of the first films the studio is going to produce. The studio would be developing its first film with Vanguard Animation. Ross Venokur would direct the film based on his own script, and the film’s budget would be under $20 million.

Viewers will obviously be looking forward to the new movie from the producers of “Shrek.” They sure know how to turn the fairly tale concept on its head and turn it into a satire.
